Group 1 - Week 6

Challenge:

This week let's photograph Red!
You have no idea how hard it was to find something red in my house, at least something I cared to take a picture of! So, I decided to post one I took last summer.

Portrait Group

This is a silhouette of my boys with a sunset-lit lake in the background. The first one is the original and the others were cropped. Which is best?

I liked Lori's suggestions, so I decided to give them a try! Here it is:

It's hard to get a good photo of my son these days! He gets the giggles and can't stop so he's shaking and can't sit still. I was hoping to get a serious look this time but I made the mistake of saying 'Don't laugh'!

Group 1 - Week 4

Challenge:
Take a picture of something that represents Sunday to you.

I wracked my brain for a way to represent Sunday without bringing a camera to church on Sunday morning. If asked to take a picture of something to represent God, I could come up with many choices, but I wasn't asked to represent God, but to represent Sunday. And for me Sunday represents God. Does this make sense? LOL. So, I bit the bullet and brought my camera to church with me this morning! Here are my favorite shots.

Group 1 - Week 3

Challenge:

Take a picture that introduces you. It can be a self portrait. It can be something you think signifies you. It can be whatever you choose to interpret this as.

I know this is not exactly an original idea, but I've always liked it.

The following photo I'm a bit proud of, not because it's that great but because it's the first pic I've taken using fully manual settings! Yay!

I also gave it just a little surface blur in photoshop.
